Description
kcai spring semester sophmore film.
all hand drawn animation, pencil and paper, and then edited together in after affects. Done in about 17-20 days.
Was shown at the Nelson-Atkins museum of Art May 1st.
based off a traditional japanese spirit called a baku; a tapir/tiger/thing that eats bad dreams. they're good beasts.
(you can buy expensive jewelry off ebay that has baku spirits in it....yeah ok)
so this is what i've been doing from april 6th until the 27th. plus you know freaking liberal arts.:C

My favorite part was the creature's movements. Nice concept, too. I feel like there should have been a few more frames in the girl's run cycle; something felt off. For a difficult perspective, you really need to film someone, and draw from that. I realize this is probably an older piece, but still offering the advice, anyway.
