shidarin'ou means "skeletal Buddhist demi-gods" in japanese. My idea was to draw an extrmely thin near boney lockjaw with slight sargon-ese twists. I drew this like a month ago during a tornado warning in the basement and finished it up last night.

These critters could perhaps swim they're pretty thin and would be very agile. I would guess they'd be pretty good hunters becuase that thing on the tip of their tails was desgined to be flexible; the two out spines and bend and trap small prey while the middle spine stabs into it. They also have pretty big claws which would be good for scratching. Their crests are made of three smaller horns webbed together with thick cartilage, that could possibly be peirced or "banded" maybe to show ranking among the tribe. Their faces are narrow when shown form the front, and their have sharp pointy teeth for ripping into food.
